Chicago!!

Hey, guys!
I went down to Chi-town over this weekend because I took the ACT test and I got a above-average score, so they invited be down to Northwestern University in Evanston, IL (not to be confused with Northwestern College, a Christian school in MN). We (My mom and I) had to get up 4:15 a.m. to board our flight which was leaving at 7:10 a.m. CRAZY, right? Well, by the time I got there, it felt like noon, but it was only around 8:30 am! So after that, we had to zoom down to Evanston from Chicago to the awards ceremony which started at 1:15 pm. That went fine, they had some great speakers, but some of the "claims" they made were kind of illogical...(i.e. flunkolution [evolution]) But then after that on Saturday, me and my mom went to The Museum of Science and Industryy in Chicago. That was simply amazing. They had a Harry Potter franchise thing going there, so there was about every costume used in the films there. Amazing! There was also a coal mine ride, where we went about 600 ft down in the earth to a tour of a coal mine, which was FREAKKY!! We also went to a flight simulator, and a submarine tour which was the best thing ever. They had a bunch of video clips leading up to the exhibit which described how they got the sub. Basically, the Navy finally decided to try and get a U-Boat (a German submarine) because it's technology was so sophisticated. After they got all the tech stuff they could from it, the Navy was going to use the sub as target practice if not for the commanding officer who captured the sub, suggesting that they donate it to a museum. The CO (commanding officer) was from Chicago, so you can guess where it went ;) ! There was plane displays, and a bunch of cool stuff. BEFORE we went to the Sci Museum, however, we went to the Field Museum, which was basically cool, with a lot of animal displays. I have about 70 pictures, so i won't post them all on here...i can try to get a slideshow maybe...
I'll pick my favorite one to start this post off.

Bye!

P.S. All these pics were taken by me. Awesome, huh?
