Saving Private Ryan
Hey, guys!
I just saw the movie Saving Private Ryan. It tells the story of an 8 man squad who is sent looking for a "Private Ryan" because his three brothers are dead.
It has a cool cast of Tom Hanks, Matt Damon, Paul Giamatti, Tom Sizemore
It was quite violent, as in the first 30m, because they filmed the D-Day invasion...
The main message of the movie is "War is heck. It's not a game". The bravery of that time is hard to find in today's military. Are we prepared to give lives like we did in WW2? Would we die for our country and/or God?
"Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." John 15:13
Is that true in our lives today? Could it be? Should it be?
