Eminem...

Yes, I know. It's been awhile.
Yes, I know. For all of you who know me as a Christian, you are probably wondering if you are at the wrong blog after reading that title. But. You aren't.

To me, Eminem has been a very controversial figure in the music industry. You can count on him for two things: One, to be explicit. Very much so. Two, to lay down some sick beats. Obviously, the first is a horrible way to write music, but a lot of his songs have a "clean version" on itunes. Especially with his new album, I get the feeling of him searching for Christ. Ignore the obscenities. Get the clean version. Eminem is probably the last person to talk about if you are a Christian like me...but I'm starting to see him differently...I have a completely different view on people like Lil Wanye (>:O) but, this rapper seems different then the rest. In his new album, he seems to be shouting that he is imperfect. This is an album about him conquering drugs. In other words, his Recovery.

And that is the first step to finding Christ. To acknowledge your imperfect self for what it is. I sincerely hope and pray that he does find Christ.

I have a confession to make...I am going to a highschool next year, as a freshman, and as I am on Facebook now, I will not be posting on Blogger as much...if you haven't noticed already I've teetered away from blogging...

Upon My Return - Blog Parade

Hey! My sister over at The Word Crafter is having a blog parade! So here I go with the questions...
1. If you had to describe yourself in one word, what would you say? I would say that the word (two words) would be "humorously dry". I love dry humor and I am not really a guy who will "light the party up". I'm not permanently sarcastic, however. ;)

2. If you could go anywhere in the world with anyone you wanted to, where would you go and who with? I would go to Europe (probably Scotland) with all of my buddies and our (future) wives.

3. If you could have one superpower, what would it be? Definitely the power to fly. Definitely.

4. What is one habit (or two ;) that you get teased about a lot? Actually, I don't have any that I get teased about. Maybe one is that I may seem too concerned on the details of stuff.

5. What is (or are) your food obsession(s)? HOT SAUCE!!!! That is my definite first one. Another one is pepperoni pizza. That's about it...

6. What is the best April Fools prank you pulled on someone or that someone pulled on you? I have never pulled or been pulled. I'm boring like that ;)

7.If you were an inanimate object, what would you be? I would totally be a fly on the wall.

8. Let's say you could change the world in one way. How would you change it? I would get rid of corrupt people. Plain and simple :)

9. You have a million dollars (*gasp* ;). How do you spend it? First, I would buy a Ford Taurus. Those cars are AMAZING. Then I would donate some to Chile, as no one is sending half as much care there as opposed to Haiti. And the earthquake in Chile was worse...then I would buy stock to get our economy going. :P

10. What is one thing that always takes your breath away? (That could mean in a and good way OR a bad way) Well, something that takes my breath away in a good way is guitar. Obviously ;) But in a bad way...hmm...that would probably be Christians who don't live out a life of striving to be Christ. Basically, impersonators. Hypocrites. :P Those get my blood going :)

11. You are granted three wishes. What do you wish for? (Remember, you can't wish for more wishes ;)
1) I would wish that I could drive NOW. XD
2) That I would get CoD MW2, and a computer that could run it :P
3) I wish that I would be in a band. Yeah, ik. Completely selfish wishes ;)

12. You can spend the day with one character from a book or series that you've read. Who is that character? How about a movie (series)? I would probably spend it with Morpheus from The Matrix. He's awesome. Basically a God figure.

13. What is something odd or interesting about you that is not commonly known? That I have recorded many songs, some of which are on my iPod. None of them are my own, however.

14. What is one thing that you absolutely positively cannot stand? I can not stand it when someone annoys someone else purposefully just to elicit a reaction. 'glares at younger siblings' lolzz

15. Say you committed a crime. The judge gives you a choice between sentences: twenty years of complete solitude in the mountains or never having another moment alone for the rest of your life. Your choice? I think that I am more of a person that would enjoy solitude more often. Complete solitude for me. Don't get me wrong, I love friends! I just don't like being pestered and having a ton of friends always around me. Give me a few best friends. ;)

16. What is one benefit that blogging has given you? All the great, beautiful and awesome people I meet on Blogger. :D

17. A perfect day in your eyes would be...? Sitting under a lamp-post with my wife, with a slight misty rain falling and all the city lit up by the lights. That's just an image that's been "dream-like" in my mind. Kinda weird, ik. lol

Florida Homecoming

Hi, guys! I just got back from Florida on Wednesday. It was even more amazing then I first envisioned. I wake-boarded, played golf, hit my longest drive ever, stepped on a jellyfish, made a thirty-foot putt, saw Terminator Salvation for the first time, saw The Blind Side for the first time and in every way, had a blast! I will try to review those two movies for you guys as well.
Will try to get some awesome pictures up from my sister (Bekah) later. And I did take that picture :D

Air1 just started playing this song on their radio, and I loved it. It's not your typical TFK song...I'm more used to hearing them belt out stuff like "Fire It Up" or "Rawkfist". But this song reminds me more of their side-job, FM Static. It's a great song, just gotta post the lyrics. ;)

Bourne Movie #4

I am at a loss for words...apparently, Paul Greengrass might be making a fourth (that's right, a fourth) Jason Bourne movie. I am so excited...the Bourne Trilogy was the best trilogy I have ever seen. Even better than LOTR... :D I know some of you might be screaming in horror at that, but I'm dead serious. They were amazing movies that kept me on the edge the WHOLE TIME. Freaky cool trilogy, definitely hope to see another made.

Falling Up...DISBANDED?!?!

I can NOT believe this.

One of my favorite bands, Falling Up, has been disbanded, so Air1 says...I am at a lost for words....those guys are great singers and have awesome songs...really sad to see them break up.

Beauty and the Beast

Hey, everbody!
Last night, (I live in Minnesota) I went to the Ordway (a acting theatre) to see Beauty and the Beast.
As much as I dislike Disney romances (:P) this production happily surprised me. It had great musical acts and it was very humorous. It was about two and a half hours (w/ intermission) and I was entranced the whole time. I am rather ashamed to admit it now...but I did enjoy that performance. They had a great cast and a lot of effects. *Spoiler* E.g. when Belle kissed the Beast and etc. etc. he changed back into the Prince, he was raised up (by wire) and did a somersault while strobe lights were flashing, and basically pulled off his cape and face. Lol, meaning his Beast part of him, coming down as the Prince. It was pretty cool.
